Inhaling steam during a facial

Question:-

Many females book facial treatments before Eid. Since hot steam is used during the treatment, the steam is intentionally inhaled. What is the status of the fast?

Answer:-

By intentionally inhaling steam, the fast of one is nullified, hence, one should refrain from such treatments during the month of Ramadaan. Secondly, every moment of the month of Ramadaan is extremely valuable, hence, maximum time should be spent in the Ibaadat of Allah Ta’ala. Undoubtedly, one should wear their best clothing and dress well for the day of Eid, but this in no way means that one should be visiting beauticians and wasting valuable time and money on facials and other beauty treatments in the blessed month of Ramadaan. This is a month to beautify our souls, become better Muslims and strengthen our connection with Allah Ta’ala. In many instances, various parts of the body that are to be concealed from non-Muslim women, are exposed during these treatments, hence, abstention is necessary.
