Interacting with a Murtad
Question:-
How does a person react to a close family member that left the fold of Islam and accepted Christianity?
Do you cut off ties or should you still keep in touch with the intention to motivate that person to come back to Islam?
Answer:-
It is not permissible to take the Murtad family member as a bosom friend. [Re:- Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah Pg.438 Vol.20] However, there is no harm in advising the person and encouraging her to renew her Imaan.
