Leading Females In Salaah With Jamaa’ah

QUESTION:

If the Imaam is aware that there are women performing Salaah behind him but he doesn’t make a clear intention of leading them, is their Salaah valid?

ANSWER:

If the Imam did not make intention for leading the women, their Salaah is not valid.

(ونية الرجل للإمامة شرط لصحة اقتداء النساء به) لما يلزم من الفساد بالمحاذاة ومسألتها مشهورة ولو في الجمعة والعيدين على ما قاله الأكثر
