The Reward For He Who Leads A People In Salaah And They Are Pleased With Him
Hadrat Abdullah Bin Umar Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “There will be three people on mounds of musk-I think he said-on the Day of Qiyaamah;
1) A slave who fulfils the rights of Allah Ta’ala and the rights of his masters
2) A person who leads a people in Salaah and they are pleased with him
3) A person who calls out the Adhaan for the five Salaah every day and night.” [Tirmidhi]
At-Tabrani Rahimahullah also narrates the above tradition but in the following words, “There are three people who will not be terrified by the awesome terror (of the Day of Qiyaamah) and the reckoning of deeds will not afflict them. They will be on mounds of musk until the reckoning of all the creation is completed. A person who recited the Quraan desiring the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala, and led the people (in Salaah) thereby while they were pleased with him.” He then relates the remainder of the Hadith as above. [Tabrani]
Hadrat Abdullah Bin Umar Radiallahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, “Whoever leads a people (in Salaah) should fear Allah Ta’ala and he should know that he is responsible and answerable. If he leads them well, he shall receive the reward of all those who offer Salaah behind him, without their rewards being decreased in any way. And whatever shortcoming there is in the Salaah will be placed on his shoulders.” [Haithami]
