Masah over a moon boot

Jan 3, 2022 | Khuffain (Leather Socks)

Question:-

A person wearing a moon boot is unable to remove it to wash his feet in Wudhu. He therefore makes Masah on the boot. Does he have to wash the other leg or is making Masah on it  sufficient?

Answer:-

Since a person wearing a moon boot is unable to wash his leg (as removing the boot is not possible), the act of passing his wet hands over that particular foot (referred to as Masah) will suffice.

Now, if he performs a complete Wudhu, makes Masah over the foot on which he is wearing the moonboot and washes the other foot, then he qualifies to wear a leather sock on the other foot. He may now make Masah over the leather socks when making Wudhu.
