Qualifying as a Ma’dhoor
Q1. I awoke approximately one hour before sunrise to find that I had a continuous, clear discharge. When there was approximately 30 minutes remaining until sunrise, I performed Salaah despite the excess discharge, fearing that I would miss Fajr. Would I be classified a Ma’dhoor?
A1. If one experiences continuous discharge from the womb for a complete Salaah time (to the extent that one is unable to find sufficient time to perform their Fardh Salaah in a state of purity), then one will be categorized as a ‘Ma’dhoor.’
For example, if one experiences continuous discharge (from the womb) from the start of Asr time until the expiry of Asr time, then one will be categorized as a ‘Ma’dhoor’ in Shariah. In this case, one should wait until approximately 15 minutes before the expiry of the Salaah time and then perform Wudhu and Salaah, even though the discharge may be continuously emerging.
In the queried scenario, you had performed Fajr Salaah due to the fear of missing Salaah which was correct. However, you should have waited for approximately 15 minutes before the expiry of the Salaah time and then performed your Salaah, even though you were still discharging.
Nevertheless, if you were discharging from the womb for the complete Salaah time of Fajr (to the extent that you were unable to find sufficient time to perform their Fardh Salaah in a state of purity), then you will be categorized as a ‘Ma’dhoor.’
Q2. Would it be necessary to make Qadhaa of Fajr?
A2. You will not have to repeat the Fajr Salaah since you were discharging for the complete Salaah time.

Q3. Please clarify when does experiencing discharge break Wudhu and when does it not?
A3. There are different categories of vaginal discharge. If the vaginal discharge is not from the womb, then Wudhu will remain intact. For a detailed Fatwa on this subject matter you may refer to the following link: https://fataawa.co.za/vaginal-discharge/
