QUESTION:
Would it be permissible to use a phone app (Quraan book app) while testing Quraan SharIf to record students mistakes, or would this be deemed disrespectful to the Word of Allah?
ANSWER:
We are not in favour of teaching Quraan Sharif using a phone App. It is best that a Mushaf is used to teach Hifz wherein mistakes can also be marked. The phone comprises of all forms of impurities such as pictures, music, videos, etc. hence it is not appropriate to teach Quraan Sharif on the same phone. The blessings that one may acquire from the Mushaf cannot be acquired from the phone.
