What is the ruling regarding visiting relatives and friends prior to embarking on Hajj?
ANSWER:
There is no harm in meeting relatives and friends before departing for Hajj with the proviso that there aren’t any customs attached to it, and it is not considered as obligatory. [Re: Kitaabun Nawaazil Vol:7 Pg:269] In conclusion, it is not obligatory to visit friends and family before Hajj.
