Men interacting with women at the workplace
Question:-
Kindly provide the Shariah ruling regarding working with women in the work environment such as, secretaries, accountants, assistants with whom one has daily dealings etc.
If one has no say or choice in the employment of them and one is compelled to work with them, then kindly list some rules which a Muslim pious male who is fearful of Allah, should adhere to.
Answer:-
1. Make Niyyat daily that you are going to work to acquire your Rizq which is a command of Allah Ta’ala.
2. Keep your gaze lowered at all times.
3. Keep busy and only speak to them when absolutely necessary.
4. When speaking to them be stern, never speak in a soft tone.
5. Repent daily in case you have erred during employment.
6. Every morning with Ishraaq Salaah, perform two Rakaats Salaatul Haajat seeking assistance from Allah Ta’ala to protect you from lustful glances.
7. Whilst at work, never be oblivious of Zikrullah. The moment you become negligent you will err. Always be on your guard as Shaytaan is waiting to attack.
8. Finally, make Shukr daily for your job to earn your Rizq the Halaal way.
