Keratin or Brazilian hair treatment

Question:-

Is it permissible to do a Keratin or Brazilian hair treatment?

Answer:-

We assume that the products in question are used for straightening the hair. We also assume that women utilize these products only to please their husbands within the home. If this is the case, then it will be permissible to utilize it with the proviso that the products do not contain any Haraam ingredients and is permeable. However, we have been informed that the products are not fully permeable, hence, we advise abstention as it affects the validity of one’s Wudhu and Ghusl.

واما التحمير ونحوه فيجوز باذن الزوج وفي داخل البيت ويحرم بغير اذن الزوج وخارج المنزل (الفقه الإسلام وادلته 2683 ج4 – رشيدية)
