Etiquettes of reciting Quraan Sharif
Question:-
If one is reciting the Quraan Sharif on an iPad or Tablet, do you still need to have Wudhu? Also, if reading at home, does your hair and arms etc. have to be covered?
Answer:-
Wudhu is required when one is holding an iPad or Tablet and reciting the Quraan Sharif. Yes, etiquettes demand that the arms and hair must be covered when reciting the Quraan Sharif. After all, the Quraan Sharif is the word of Allah, hence, utmost respect should be displayed when reciting.
Below we have listed some of the Mustahab actions and etiquettes of Tilaawat:

- Sit with respect and honour. Refrain from sitting like the proud people (by reclining or resting against the wall whilst reciting).
- Sit in a clean place.
- Sit whilst facing in the direction of the Qiblah.
- Recite Ta’awwuz and Tasmiya before Tilaawat.
- Contemplate over the meaning of the Quraan Sharif during Tilaawat.
- Recite with Tarteel, ensuring that every letter is pronounced correctly and clearly. Stop at the appropriate places.
