QUESTION:
A lady is experiencing marital issues. Will her Nikaah be void if she says words of Kufr, and will her Imaan have to be renewed?
ANSWER:
If a female utters the words of Kufr, she will be required to renew her Imaan. However, her Nikah with her husband remains intact. [Re:- Fataawa Mahmoodiyyah Pg.447 Vol.20] Yes, if a male utters words of Kufr, then his Nikah will be invalidated. We therefore advise that you do not utter words of Kufr at any stage. There is no guarantee whether Allah Ta’ala will grant one the opportunity of renewing their Imaan again or not. We understand the restlessness that you are currently experiencing, but you should keep in mind that the solution to all problems lies in the hands of Allah Ta’ala.
Anas ibn Malik Radiallahu Anhu narrates that whenever Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was overcome with difficulty or sorrow, then he would recite:
يا حيّ يا قيّوم، برحمتك أستغيث (رواه الترمذي)
O The Ever-Living One, O The Controller of Everything, I seek assistance through Your Mercy.
