Aluminium Zikr ring

Question:-

Can Mufti Saheb advise if it is correct to use the new Zikr ring, since the ring is made out of aluminium and not pure silver, which is permitted for men to wear, or silver/gold, which is permitted for women to wear?

Answer:-

We haven’t yet seen the new ‘Zikr ring’ discussed in your query. However, if it is not worn as a ‘ring’ for adornment but merely used as a Zikr counter, which is fastened around the finger when in use and removed when not in use, then it would not take the ruling of a ring that is worn for adornment but will follow the ruling of a Tasbeeh that is held (in the hand) during recitation and put away when not in use. In this case, there is no issue with using the ring, even though it might be manufactured from aluminium.
