Muqtadi missing a Sajdah with the Imaam
Question:-
A Muqtadi was performing Salaah behind the Imaam. The Imaam went into Sajdah and came up for the next posture, and only then did the Muqtadi go into Sajdah. Is his Salaah valid?
Answer:-
If the Muqtadi missed the Imaam whilst he was in Sajdah, but he performed the Sajdah thereafter (that is after the Imaam had already come up from Sajdah), then his Salaah will be valid.
Yes, if the Sajdah was completely omitted whereby the Muqtadi joined the Imaam in the subsequent posture without performing the Sajdah (that was missed), then the entire Salaah will have to be repeated as Sajdah which is Fardh in Salaah has been omitted.
