Obsession Over Evil Eye

QUESTION:

My mother has obsessive thoughts and is troubled by the Waswasa of Shaytaan regarding evil eye. She is overly concerned with family members becoming privy to various aspects of our lives. My mother has also become paranoid over her domestic worker and hides things away from her. This is becoming overbearing but I don’t want to disobey my mother. Please advise.i

ANSWER:

We advise you to recite Manzil every day and blow on your mother. Furthermore, you should advise her to read:

رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِين ِ (المؤمنون آ 97)

 ‘My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the Shayaateen.’

Moreover, you should continue obeying your mother and remind yourself about the great virtues of obeying and serving parents.
