QUESTION:
During the Iddah of a woman, her husband jokingly says that he will kiss her. Will this be considered Raj’at (revoking of the divorce)?
ANSWER:
The Kitaabs of Fiqh state that Raj’at takes place by kissing the wife. We haven’t found any text stating that Raj’at takes place by telling the wife that he will kiss her.
والرجعة أن يقول: راجعتك، أو راجعت امرأتي، أو يطأها، أو يقبلها، أو يلمسها بشهوةٍ، أو أن ينظر إلى فرجها بشهوةٍ. (اللباب ص54 ج3)
