QUESTION:
What is the ruling regarding a wife who fights with her husband?
ANSWER:
It is necessary for the wife to obey her husband, and upsetting the husband by fighting and arguing with him is impermissible. Severe warnings have been cited in the Hadith for a disobedient wife.
It is recorded in one narration that a disobedient wife will receive a severe punishment on the day of Qiyaamah, while another Hadith states that when the husband is dissatisfied with his wife, then her Salaah is not accepted. The Nabi of Allah himself cursed such a woman; hence, every married woman should refrain from arguing and fighting with her husband.
